About Me
I’m James Harding, a professional photographer based in Walsall, West Midlands. I’m 18 years old, and have been capturing life through a lens since 2019, since then, it’s grown into a genuine passion that I’ve shaped entirely through self-education, hands-on experience and a relentless hunger to improve.

I wasn’t raised on conventional paths. I left the education system fairly early and was taught from home, which gave me the rare chance to explore what I was really drawn to. Without the constraints of a traditional classroom, I developed my photography skills hands-on, teaching myself everything from manual camera work to post-production editing. I also became deeply interested in financial trading, which I now balance alongside my creative work. On paper, they’re polar opposites but for me, they complement each other well. One keeps me grounded in strategy and discipline, the other lets my creativity run free.

My work covers a wide range of subjects, transport, railways, cars, events, portraits, pets, and commercial commissions. I’ve always had a strong eye for detail and a love for capturing moments with meaning, whether it’s movement, character, atmosphere or storytelling. I believe good photography should speak for itself and I work hard to make sure it does.

Alongside my photography, I also assist with business strategy and development in my father’s company. It’s given me a good understanding of how creative work ties into the bigger picture, branding, communication, commercial value — and how important it is to be reliable and clear in a professional setting.

I’m still young but I take what I do seriously. I’m confident in my abilities, grounded in my approach and always looking to push forward. Whether it’s for personal work or for a client, I want my images to have impact, purpose and quality.
